Visit to UMax Packaging Pvt Ltd, a manufacturing unit was organized for the students of DPS Jodhpur, class 12 commerce on Saturday, 2 August,2014.
Thirty students escorted by a team of three teachers spent three hours with the managerial and technical staff of the organization at the Plant.
Students learnt that UMax Packaging Ltd is engaged in manufacturing and exporting of flexible laminates for snack food, pharmaceutical, pet foods and packaging of many other products. They offer a wide range of packaging material for various applications. Consistency in quality and services is the core strength of the company.
The students understood the technical aspects of production and packaging. Being a batch production system, the production planning and scheduling activities were found interesting by the student. The executive of the company explained about the company’s marketing policies and management practices at the factory outlet being operated by the company. The students gained knowledge about the processes that are printing, laminating, slitting, pouching. The students also inquired and solved their queries in discussion with the technical staff, managers and Mr. Shrikul Lodha.
